Burnham Park is a public park in Chicago, Illinois. The Park is a result of the 1909 Plan for Chicago, a variety of plans that included widening streets, harbor facilities, railroads, and buildings. Although only a small portion of the plan was implemented, the document radically altered the Chicago metropolitan area and profoundly affected the current urban planning period.
